“I keep eating. I went one week strong and now as much as I try and I tell myself not to eat I can’t help it. It’s killing me. I need a help to keep strong. I don’t know what else to do. I want to loose this weight but I’m so weak that I have to eat. And it’s making me hate myself more. Please help?”
How would you respond?
One response:
Eating is more than just a necessity; it’s also a habit. No habit can be made or broken in a week. Staying constant with something through the difficult times is what helps us develop new habits as we shed the old. The important thing is to develop habits that you can maintain for the long term - find habits that provide you a balance. To do this, don’t set your goals for a week, or for this spring or summer season. Think about the person that you want to be a year from now, or two years from now, and develop healthy, sustainable, and enjoyable habits based on those goals. Nothing happens over night; and what you want is not something that will only last a week. So don’t push your body and it won’t push back - develop healthy habits for the long term.
